1. Introduction
This Privacy Policy explains how Silky Calculator by Silky Apple Technologies handles your data. Silky Calculator is built with an offline-first architecture for calculation, conversions, and numeric productivity.
2. Data Collection and Processing
Calculation History: Calculation inputs, formulas, and history remain strictly on your device. They are never uploaded to any remote server.
Screen Capture and Local OCR: If you use the "Scan Formula" or "Screen Numbers" feature, the app requests screen capture permission on macOS (Screen Recording) or Windows (Graphics Capture). The area you select is processed entirely on-device using native platform engines (Apple Vision framework on macOS; Windows Media OCR engine on Windows). Captured pixels and extracted text are handled ephemerally in memory and are never transmitted or stored off-device.
Clipboard: The app accesses the system clipboard only on-demand when you explicitly choose to copy a calculation or paste into the display. We do not monitor your clipboard in the background.
3. Where Data Is Stored
Saved calculations and settings are stored locally on your device in standard application storage (such as `UserDefaults` and local application data directories). We do not operate servers storing your calculation history.
4. App Store Purchases and Trial Verification
Purchases and free trials are processed directly through Apple's App Store (via StoreKit) or the Microsoft Store. We do not receive, process, or store your payment details, credit card numbers, or store account passwords.
While the 30-day trial is active on macOS, the app makes an ephemeral network check to our website solely to read standard HTTP server time. This ensures trial duration accuracy without reading or sending personal data, device identifiers, or calculation history.
5. Third-Party Trackers and Analytics
Silky Calculator does not integrate with any third-party analytics services, behavioral trackers, or advertising networks. Calculations, formulas, and OCR operations remain entirely private to your device.
6. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, our maximum liability arising out of or in connection with your use of the application, regardless of the cause of action, will not exceed the amount you paid for the service.
