Comparison details

How we compare our apps, with official sources and workflow guidance for each category.

How we compare

Prepared by Silky Apple Technologies from official product documentation and pricing, reviewed 3 October 2026. Six related tools; not a ranking or a claim of equivalence. US$ = US dollars; mo = month; yr = year. Prices cover selected plans. Annual terms require a 12-month commitment; yearly prices are billed annually. Regions, taxes, promotions, usage limits and renewals may differ. Trials are temporary. Features depend on plan, version and platform. A tick means available; a dash means unconfirmed, not unavailable. Separate products and add-ons are excluded. Not an independent rating, security certification or benchmark.

SilkySnip

How do I crop a screenshot or capture just the area I need?

For a new capture, select the region in SilkySnip, use a rectangular snip in Windows or press Shift–Command–4 on Mac. For an existing image, open it in an image editor: Snipping Tool offers Edit with Paint, and Mac Preview includes a Crop tool. Check for sensitive details before sharing.
